SUMOTO 4" Submersible Motors
Italian-made, rewindable oil-filled bore motors for reliable everyday pumping. SUMOTO motors suit bores, dams and rivers, and come in single-phase and three-phase versions from 0.37 kW to 7.5 kW.

Rewindable
The oil-filled design can be rewound if the winding is ever damaged, so a repair doesn't have to mean a new motor.
Quality materials
Stainless steel motor case and shaft, a nickel-plated cast iron upper bracket (316 stainless optional) and enamelled copper windings.
Deep and reliable
IP68 rated with Class F winding insulation, and suitable for immersion down to 100 m.
Tough seals and bearings
Graphite and ceramic mechanical seal, with silicon carbide options for sandy bores, plus radial and thrust ball bearings.
Flexible installation
Handles up to 30 starts an hour and can be installed horizontally, for example in a sleeve in a dam or tank.
Fits standard 4" pumps
Standard 4" coupling suits the ST-4 pump ends and other 4" submersible pumps.
Add a pump end and a controller
Pair a SUMOTO motor with an ST-4 stainless steel pump end for a complete bore pump. Add a Nastec PILOT for full protection on a fixed speed system, or a MIDA or VASCO drive for constant pressure, soft starts and lower power use.

Rated current shown at 230/240 V (single phase) or 400/415 V (three phase). Max water temperature 35°C with a minimum cooling flow of 0.08 m/s. Voltage tolerance ±10%. 3" (OP3) motors are also available. Ask us for full electrical and performance data before ordering.
