Nastec MIDA Variable Speed Drive
A compact, easy to use variable speed drive for mains-powered pumps up to 22 kW. MIDA gives you constant pressure, soft starts and full pump protection, and it mounts straight onto the motor.
Why choose the MIDA
Steady pressure, lower power bills
MIDA speeds the pump up and down to match demand, so you get even pressure at every tap and use less power than a pump running flat out.
Soft start and stop
Gentle starts and stops reduce water hammer and wear on the pump, motor and pipework, so your system lasts longer.
Mounts on the motor
Fits straight onto the motor fan cover, including on horizontal pumps, with a display you can rotate. A wall-mount kit with its own cooling fan is also available.
Runs up to 8 pumps
Link 2 to 8 MIDA units on a booster set. COMBO mode shares the running hours between pumps and keeps water flowing if one pump fails.
Smart protection
Stops the pump on dry running, no flow, or high and low pressure, then tries to restart automatically before raising an alarm.
Built tough and quick to set up
Aluminium case with independent cooling, rated for humid and dusty sites. A set-up wizard gets you running fast.
One drive, lots of jobs
MIDA can hold a constant pressure, a constant differential pressure for circulating pumps, a constant flow or a constant temperature. It can also follow an external 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V signal.
Running two irrigation zones? Use the dual set-point mode to switch between two pressures. MIDA also compensates for pipe losses, lifting the set pressure as flow increases.
It drives standard induction motors and permanent magnet motors like the Nastec SUMMAG, using field oriented control with automatic motor tuning.

Supply tolerance ±15%. Single-phase input models can run a single-phase or a three-phase motor. The right model depends on your motor's rated current, so check with us before ordering.
