Nastec PILOT Pump Controller
The most compact and cost-effective way to fully protect a fixed speed pump. PILOT is a simple, rugged direct on-line (DOL) controller for single-phase and three-phase mains-powered pumps.
Why choose the PILOT
Dry run protection
PILOT monitors the motor's power factor and stops the pump if it drops below your set limit, so a dry bore or empty tank won't burn out your pump.
Overload and phase protection
Guards against surges, phase loss and overcurrent. The backlit screen shows running current, and the pump stops if it goes over your set maximum.
Limits short cycling
Set a maximum number of starts and PILOT stops the pump if it is exceeded, protecting the motor from a faulty pressure switch or leak.
Automatic restarts
After an alarm, PILOT tries up to 5 restarts at intervals you choose, so a temporary fault doesn't leave you without water.
Service history on board
Records the number of starts, total running hours and alarm history, which makes servicing and fault finding much quicker.
Tough and compact
Aluminium body for strength and cooling, rated IP55 for humid and dusty sites like pump sheds and bore heads.
Add fixed speed pumps to a VASCO system
Pair PILOT with a Nastec VASCO drive and the VASCO will start and stop the fixed speed pumps as demand changes, while PILOT keeps each of them fully protected.
It is a cost-effective way to build a booster set with one variable speed lead pump and one or two fixed speed pumps for peak demand.
